Colin has vast experience in working with the formal and informal education sectors
at project management, training and group facilitation levels.
He has a wide range of experience in working with groups from across the voluntary
sector including Community Development, Interface, Victims and Churches.
Colin worked professionally as a Youth Worker, a Director of Juvenile Justice
replacement to custody project, a Principal Officer and Regional Consultant for a
National Charity as well as Centre Director for the Corrymeela Community Ballycastle.
Colin has been a board member of the Community Relations Council and currently sits on
a number of Boards and Committees including Community Relations Training and Learning
Consortium, Advisor to the Council of European Churches on Conflict Intervention and
Resolution, CRC European and CRC Community Committee.
Along with Derek Wilson of Future Ways he is the co-founder of the International Summer
School on Peace Building.
He has established background in Community Relations and Conflict Management Training,
Programme design and delivery, organisational management and development with particular
interest in team building and the management of change. Colin has also trained and lectured on
many occasions on the themes of reconciliation and forgiveness, conflict resolution and the
ecology of community building.
