International Programme Design

Perhaps what gives the TIDES team our recognised credibility, creativity and strength
in our programme design work is that all the team members are viewed, in their own right,
as an outstanding facilitator and trainer with many years of experience in the fields of
Conflict Management, Diversity, Good Relations and Equality training. This ensures that all
the programmes we design are built from:

A clear analysis of the background need for the programme

A detailed understanding of the learning outcomes from both a learner and
trainer perspective

A deep commitment to experiential learning as a core methodology

Flexibility in design to maximise programme availability to the client group

A commitment to make the learning environment stimulating, safe, learner centred
and enjoyable

TIDES was the first organisation in Northern Ireland to design a full Training of Trainers
methodology and programmes in Conflict Management and Good Relations with a range of
accreditedprogression routes. In addition TIDES has an established reputation in working on
conflict reduction and mediation programmes across "interface areas" and has just piloted
the first accredited "Labour Mobility" and "Working with Culturally Contentious Issues"
programmes that
supports employers, community groups and individuals to break through
patterns of immobility and community segregation.
