TIDES Wins Top National Training Award!
TIDES & The Bytes Project were named N. Ireland & UK National Training Award winners in the Partnership and Collaboration category.
The National Training Awards are the premier accolade for training and development in the UK and are run by UK Skills on behalf of the Development for Business, Innovation and Skills. The Awards identify and celebrate organisations and individuals that have achieved outstanding business and personal success through investment in training.
Partnerships and Collaboration Award this Award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate collaboration in practice and through applying a collaborative approach is creating impact and achieving success.
TIDES and the Bytes Project have been partnering for the past three years. Bytes works to develop and build the skills of vulnerable young people between the ages of 16 and 25. The initial project between the two organisations aimed to build Bytes staff members with tools to deal with conflict issues on a grass roots level and support the youth work sector. The partnership exceeded the initial contract and led to TIDES delivering a Trainer of Trainers program to retain the capacity and learning within Bytes as well as create new innovative community relations programs to be delivered in the various Bytes centres. The strength of this partnership is based on a mutual recognition of the great benefits to young people and civil society that come from strong professional relationships and shared expertise.
