Conflict Management and Community Relations
The Training Of Trainers Programme proritises those working in the field of Community
Relations, Conflict Management and Community Development.
The aims of the programme are to develop sound ability to carry out techniques and research
within the Community Relations and Conflict Management fields.
Conflict Management and Community Relations
The Programme runs through Three Stages:
Stage One
There are three main modules in this area of the course from which the participant may
choose which modules are most relevant for their training development.

Each module contains 30 hours of studies in seminar format and participants will be
supported in developing a portfolio illustrating their learning throughout the course.
Stage Two
This stage engages the participant in the more theoretic and creative sides of Community
Developmentand Conflict Management where participants are asked to design, deliver and
evaluate an innovative project. In addition seminars on themes of Management and Media
will be offered during this stage of the course.
Stage Two
This optional portion of the programme involves participants working on new projects and
developments within a comprehensive mentoring programme made up of the TIDES team or
other relevant mentors. During this time participants may have to participate in the
international context of Community Development, Community Capacity building and Conflict
Management.
Course Certification
Open College Network accreditation (Level 3 – 6 Credits) is available for the successful
completion of each module.
