Our staff have been part of a team delivering the Kennedy Institute "Common Security & Defence Policy Mediation course" under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College, for UN Peace-building officials. We are also working with Washington and Jefferson University, training teachers and students in Conflict Resolution and Mediation techniques.
TIDES team in partnership with Mediators Beyond Borders International have also been training Women leaders from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in mediation skills and delivering mediation training in Turkey, Romania and Brazil.
TIDES Training has an established reputation gained over sixteen years delivering good relations, conflict resolution and mediation training both locally and internationally in the community, statutory and business sectors, including practical mediation experience across many of the most contentious interfaces in Northern Ireland and internationally in areas such as the Balkans, Africa, Asia and North America.
Our staff members have extensive experience as practitioners and we have delivered mediation training to the Police Service of Northern Ireland, St Mary's teacher training college, Family Mediation NI and the N Ireland Housing Executive. In partnership with Mediation Northern Ireland we provide the mediation service for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. Through this service we provide a mediation service to approximately 89,000 tenants in neighbour/neighbour, community/community disputes, anti-social behaviours, racist and sectarian attacks. It is this first-hand knowledge, expertise and live case studies that enrich TIDES contribution to the training programme and add value to the students learning and understanding of early interventions, shuttle mediation and mediation processes.
